Laila works in a TV factory, and lives with Maryam, a student, in a working-class neighborhood in the capital. They both suffer from a sexist, patriarchal society, as Laila suffers from how her manager sees her, and she seeks to form a labor union to increase wages, decrease working hours, and provide transportation.
