As Abdel Latif tells his friends that he is in love with a girl whom he wants to marry, he is surprised when his Egyptian mother presses him to marry a girl of her choice.

Umm Abdel Latif (Abdel Latif's mother) tells her son that his uncle Hamdy is coming for a visit, which makes Abdel Latif fantasize about how he will achieve all his dreams using his uncle's wealth. Umm Faraj informs Umm Abdel Latif that she chose several girls for her son to pick a bride from.

Umm Abdel Latif asks her son to buy new furniture for his uncle's room. As Abdel Latif's uncle arrives, he reveals that he is broke as his brother-in-law had seized all his money. Abdel Latif mourns his lost dreams.

As Abdel Latif takes his uncle to a party and introduces him to his friends, Hamdy dances until he passes out.

As Hamdy accompanies Abdel Latif to work, he gets him in trouble. He then proceeds to drive Abdel Latif's car, only to have an accident and causes Abdel Latif monetary loss.

Abdel Latif buys his uncle Hamdy a bell to summon him if he wants anything, but Hamdy rings the bell all through the night. As Abdel Latif confesses his feelings for a girl, he tries to learn to ride horses to get close to her, only to fall off the horse.

When Abdel Latif takes his uncle Hamdy to meet Nour, whom he likes, a misunderstanding leads Noura's father to mistake them for harassers and beat them up.

Umm Abdel Latif tells her son that she picked a bride for him, but he refuses to abide by her choice. As Noura starts meeting Abdel Latif, she falls for him.

When Abdel Latif decides to propose to Noura, his uncle advises him to make sure that she really loves him first. Abdel Latif is shocked when his mother opposes his marriage to Noura.

When Abdel Latif asks Noura's father for his daughter's hand, Noura's father gives his tentative blessing.

Abdel Latif tells his friend Boraey about his love for Noura. In an attempt to get his mother to approve his marriage to Noura, Abdel Latif asks his uncle for help.

When his mother continues to refuse his marriage to Noura, Abdel Latif leaves the house in protest and moves in with his friend. Abdel Latif's mother reports him missing.

Umm Abdel Latif refuses to go with her son to ask for Noura's hand, leaving him to take his uncle instead. On the way, they have an accident and end up arrested.

Abdel Latif lies to Noura's father and claims that his uncle is ill, asking to postpone the engagement. After Abdel Latif's release from prison, his mother is forced to agree to his marriage to Noura and goes with him to propose.

As Abdel Latif and his mother go to purchase furniture for his house, his mother quarrels with Noura's mother, who opposes her daughter's marriage to Abdel Latif due to the class difference.

Hamdy catches feelings for Boraey's sister and thinks about marrying her. Abdel Latif and Noura celebrate their wedding.

As Abdel Latif and Noura go to a camp for their honeymoon, his parents and uncle accompany them. Fire breaks out at the camp. Hamdy gets engaged to Mahasen.

In an attempt to get citizenship, Hamdy looks for a job and weds Mahasen. Abdel Latif helps his uncle.

Noura's father helps Hamdy get his citizen as Hamdy and Mahasen celebrate their wedding. Umm Abdel Latif stirs up trouble for Noura and ruins the food the latter makes.

Hamdy manages to convince Noura's father to partner up with him on his new project. Umm Abdel Latif continues to make up problems for Noura.

As Hamdy's project ends in failure, he gets accused of fraud and arrested. Abdel Latif bails Hamdy out. Noura's mother forbids her daughter from going back to her husband's house.

As Hamdy and Abdel Latif think about starting a project to raise pigeons, they also agree to steal Noura's paintings from her father's house. But the paintings are ruined after Abdel Latif's neighbor pours water on them.

As Abdel Latif and Hamdy hold an exhibit for Noura's paintings, they are shocked when the audience likes them despite the water damage.

Noura's mother insists that her daughter must have a separate house from Abdel Latif's mother. Hamdy loses the money meant for Abdel's Latif's furniture. Noura suggests for Abdel Latif to renovate his mother's house and add an apartment for them.

Hamdy asks Noura's father for a job at his store. Umm Abdel Latif loses her temper when Hamdy asks her to divide the house between them.

As Noura's mother insists that Abdel Latif must divorce her daughter, she asks her husband to fire Hamdy, but the latter proves his mettle, which makes Noura's father refuse to fire him.

As Hamdy buys bad perfumes at the store, he causes it to be shut down, leading to his firing. Abdel Latif asks Hamdy to go back to Egypt. Noura's mother quarrels with Abdel Latif after he meets up with Noura.

When Abdel Latif's cousin enlists Hamdy's help to buy spare parts for his car, Hamdy thinks about selling spare parts. Hamdy's wife asks him to go to Egypt.

Hamdy decides to become an actor. Noura's mother agrees to meet up with Abdel Latif and his mother for a reconciliation attempt.

Abdel Latif admonishes his mother for ruining his marriage, telling her that he had to obey her because she is his mother. Abdel Latif's uncle returns to Egypt.
