A month before the January 2011 Revolution, the well-respected professor of entomology, Fawzi Gomaa, is kidnapped and beaten by a group of people because he is an opposed leftist. Mutwali is subjected to injustice for not being appointed in the university despite being entitled to.

Dr. Fawzi demands to end a demonstration at the university. As the prime minister's son tries to get close to Salma, Minister Hassouna's daughter, she asks him to get the blessings of her godfather Fawzi. Fawzi establishes a new left-wing party called "What" that calls for fighting injustice.

Fawzi refuses to let Salma marry the son of the prime minister. As the head of the National Security Agency arrests Fawzi, the children of Hassouna beg their father to get Fawzi out of his ordeal, but he refuses. Salma reluctantly goes to the prime minister's son to ask him to help Fawzi.

Hassouna is arrested on charges of corruption. Fawzi asks to make Shehata his driver after he assumed the position of Minister of Agriculture. Fawzi faces a problem with the private guards, as he refuses to go in the car assigned to him.

Dr. Nafeh incites against Fawzi in the media. The wealthy lady Ahlam comes from America to congratulate Fawzi and cooperate with him. Salwa's mother refuses her marriage to Fathi. As Karima discovers that her son Tamer got married without her knowledge, he brings his wife home.

As Fawzi invites Ahlam to his home, Karima comes at the same time. Fawzi visits his children to mend the relationship between them and their mother, Karima. Dr. Ashour knows from the director of the orphanage that Fawzi has an illegitimate daughter in one of the shelters.

Fawzi suspects that Ahlam is working undercover for the American embassy, ​​the Brotherhood, or the Ministry of Interior. The body of the activist Awad's father disappears. As Dr. Fawzi's relationship with Ahlam develops, she tells him that he is the father of her son Abdel Hamid after a fling years ago.

Ahlam reveals to her son the secret that she kept from him over the past years, which is that Fawzi is his father. The newspapers write about Dr. Fawzi's illegitimate daughter. Fawzi attends Fathi and Salwa's wedding in the presence of Karima.

Ahlam eventually agrees that her son gets a DNA test in exchange for Fawzi to announce the truth. Fawzi goes with Ahlam to a famous infertility doctor for the test. Fawzi leads a student demonstration to demand political reforms in the country.

Dr. Fawzi is informed that there are attempts to assassinate him planned by a woman whose name has not been disclosed for security reasons. As the result of the DNA test proves that Abdel Hamid is his son, Fawzi acknowledges him and decides to marry Ahlam.

As Mutwali discovers that his old sweetheart Ahlam has married Fawzi, he congratulates them with tears in his eyes. Fawzi and Ahlam mutually agree to separate on the wedding night, especially as she has proven to everyone that Fawzi is the father of her son Abdel Hamid.

As Salwa separates from Fathi because he boycotted the elections, she wants to join the campaign of the remnants' candidate. When the DNA analysis doctor contacts Ahlam, Fawzi suspects the parentage of Abdel Hamid. Ahlam's doctor tells that she has early-stage cancer and she must undergo an operation.

Fawzi returns to the ranks of the masses as a leftist opponent after his resignation. The results of the presidential elections show that the Islamist candidate won, amid a state of dissatisfaction and doubts about the integrity of the elections; the non-Muslim minorities in the country become fearful.

The Cairo airport authorities prevent Fawzi and his son Abdel Hamid from traveling to France to check on Ahlam. As Fawzi announces his return to politics in a press conference, the government decides to arrest him. Major Ashraf informs Fawzi of the decision and advises him to flee.

Dr. Fawzi escapes to a rural area with Hala and Abdel Hamid, with the help of his friend and loyal servant Adela. As Salwa wears a hijab and takes religious lessons at her home, she begins to see that most of her mother's behavior does not abide to the teachings of Islam.

As the search for Fawzi continues after his escape, his lawyer responds to the wave of accusations against him, including the issue of carcinogenic pesticides, as the person who filed the lawsuit has personal enmity with Fawzi after the latter refused to appoint him to a legal position in the Ministry.

As Fawzi searches for a hospital after his son Abdel Hamid falls sick, he turns to Gerges who tells him about one of the prominent doctors. Fawzi discovers the betrayal of the lawyer Awad.

As Dr. Fawzi signs the Rebellion form, he distributes it. When Fawzi goes to Dr. Moamen El Ayyouti he tells him that he does not negotiate with criminals. Dr. Fawzi gives him a Rebellion form in order for the current president to step down.

Fawzi goes to Hajj Ashry to break off his engagement to Tahani, and in return persuades him to approve his daughter’s marriage to Bashir, which he agrees upon. As Fawzi informs Bashir's parents of the news, their happiness is cut short after his military service headquarters is bombed by terrorist groups.

Fawzi hides with his cousin Marey in Upper Egypt until the time of his departure, as he sells his land to pay for his travel costs. Governor Nafeh finds himself in trouble before the President after the protests increase following Bashir's death, and the forms of the Rebel movement reach his office.

Fawzi tries to escape after being sentenced to 10 years in prison, as he travels to one of his cousins ​​after the location of where he was first hiding has been exposed. The Rebellion forms are distributed to the people to overthrow the president. Fawzi tries to sell his land in Upper Egypt.

As Fawzi frees his daughter from her kidnappers, he is shocked by the news of Ahlam's death. Karima tries to dissuade Fawzi from traveling abroad. In the square during the June 30 Revolution, Fawzi appears to lead the masses of Egyptians revolting against the Brotherhood regime.
