Mariam returns from abroad with her husband Hatem to settle down in Egypt. She goes to the cemetery for Ramy's ninth death anniversary, where she meets his family and his mother reproaches her.

Hatem reproaches Mariam for talking with Sherif and he's upset that she hid her realtionship with Ramy from him. Maya advises Mariam to reconcile with Hatem but tension causes her to take sedatives. Mariam and Hatem go to a marriage counselor.

Mariam feels guilty for hiding her secret from Hatem. Sherif asks Mariam to go to rehabilitation meetings to treat her tension and to make sure she doesn't go back to addiction, as they both used to be drug addicts in the past.

Hatem finds out the truth about Mariam. Sherif and Tarek run a rehabilitation center and Sherif asks Hatem to come visit him at the center to understand Mariam's problem and help her.

Hatem attends one of the rehabilitation meetings and decides to support Mariam. Tarek cheats on his wife with Engy and returns to addiction. Ali continues to get closer to Hanya, whose mother Sherine traveled and left her alone.

Mariam starts a new hobby by making pottery. Yusuf warns Hanya about Ali and his group. Mariam's father asks her to go to her apartment in Maadi, and she finds old photos of her with her friends.

Salma finds out that Tarek has relapsed and returned to his addiction. Hatem asks Mariam for separation due to her betrayal. Hanya goes on a trip with Ali and his friends and starts using drugs.

Mariam still attends the rehabilitation meetings. Hatem tells Sherif that he left Mariam after Salma told him that Mariam is cheating on him with her husband, Tarek.

Hanya's mother finds her unconscious on the floor with drugs next to her. Later, Hanya meets Ali again.

Mariam finds Engy and Motaz fighting over drugs. Hatem refuses to take her calls. Engy takes money from Mariam to buy drugs. Hanya gets more deeper in her relationship with Ali.

Mariam finds out that she is pregnant. Mariam tells Maya that she started taking drugs again. Sherif tries to help Hanya with her problem.

Mariam goes to the hospital to treat her addiction and she succeeds. Hatem misses Mariam but refuses to talk to her.

Hanya travels with Ali to Ain Sokhna and asks him to live together. Mariam reveals to her therapist that Tarek was the first man in her life, and he was the one who got her addicted to drugs.

Mariam asks to leave the rehabilitation center before completing the required period. She goes to the doctor to check up on her pregnancy and he tells her that the baby is not doing well, and she admits that she was taking drugs at the beginning of her pregnancy.

Hatem and Mariam get into an argument and she blames him for going back to taking drugs because he left her alone. Ali and Hanya go to a lawyer to have a customary marriage although Hanya is underage.

Sherif tells Salma that she is the reason Hatem divorced Mariam who relapsed. Ali asks Hanya to stop taking drugs because of her pregnancy. He promises to stop taking drugs as well but he breaks his promise.

Mariam gives birth to a healthy baby girl. Hatem goes to the hospital to see the baby.

Tarek and Salma get divorced and she moves in with Sherif. Hatem takes Mariam and their daughter Farida home. Ali and Hanya run out of money and he sells his car's radio to buy drugs.

Salma confesses to Mariam that she was the reason behind her divorce and Mariam eventually forgives her. Hanya has a miscarriage.

Ali calls Hanya’s mother who takes Hanya to the hospital. Sherine asks Ali to leave but he tells her that he is Hanya’s husband. Hanya steals her mother’s money and cell phone and escapes from the hospital.

Ali finds himself locked in a room after his uncle decides to help him recover from addiction. Hanya's mother also takes her to a hospital and Sherif tells her that he will help her recover, but she refuses treatment.

After Hanya escapes again, her mother blames Sherif and Mariam for what happened to Hanya. Ali also escapes and he and Hanya break into her father’s villa and decide to stay there.

Ali and Hanya rob a kiosk in the street to get money and he opens his apartment for junkies and sells them drugs. The relationship between Ahmed and Mariam begins to develop but he behaves differently after she tells him that she was a drug addict.

Ahmed tells Mariam that he can’t marry her but he can be her boyfriend. Mariam asks Hatem to bring her Farida but he tells her that he intends to keep her with him. Mariam goes to Hisham to take Hatem’s address.

Ali discovers that Hanya hid drugs from him and he hits her. Salma tells Mariam that Hatem is jealous of Ahmed. Ali and Hanya go to a Bedouin to buy drugs and Ali trades Hanya for the drugs and she gets raped by the Bedouin.

Mariam is devastated after Hatem refuses to take her calls. Tarek asks her to help him recover from his addiction and she asks him to help her find her daughter. Ali steals drugs and goes to his mother and tells her he will stop taking drugs.

Hanya finds out that the drug dealer will kill Ali if he doesn't give back the drugs he stole. The drug dealer finds Ali and makes his men teach him a lesson and tells him to return the drugs or die.

Hatem files a case to have custody of his daughter. Hisham tries to convince Hatem to drop the case but he insists on going through with it.

Ali locks himself up in his room but he continues to use drugs. The police raid the rehabilitation center where Hanya is staying. She escapes to Azza’s house but the police arrest her along with Mariam and Azza.

Hatem goes to Mariam’s apartment to take Farida and execute the court order. Ali’s condition gets worse and he tries to kill Hanya. She escapes but she gets paralyzed after using drugs. When Hatem visits his father, he reproaches him and tells him to take Farida back to Mariam.
