The story follows the child Shams, who's passionate about traveling and exploring, but his father wants him to take over the profession of justice. As Shams is able to convince his father of his dream, he begins his journey from Tangier to Tlemcen.

Ibn Battuta turns to his father's friend to guide him on the road to the city of Bajai. When he fails to find a guide to the desert, his father's friend decides to accompany him and teach him things about the storms in the desert.

As a strong storm blows, Ibn Battuta and those with him overcome it. But when his father's friend dies, he says goodbye to the travelers, and he goes alone to the city of Constantine where he gets to know one of the butchers.

As Ibn Battuta meets the judge of Constantinople, he tells him that he wants to go to Mecca, so he decides to help him in his journey. He arrives in Tunisia and then Misrata, and then he accompanies one of the commercial convoys.

Ibn Battuta is able to uncover a plot against the chief merchant of the convoy that he is traveling with, and he succeeds in saving him and those with him. He then reaches the city of Alexandria in Egypt.

One of the sellers tells his wife that he found a sum of money in the tombs and took it. Ibn Battuta succeeds in helping a young man to come down from the top of the poles of the masts in Alexandria.

When Ibn Battuta discovers that he has lost his bag of money, he returns to the boy whom he rescued at the pole of the masts in order to help him find it.

Ibn Battuta is forced to wait until he finds his money. When Saladin gives orders to build the castle, Ibn Battuta works as a hired worker in construction to get money, and he meets the merchant who found his money.

When the Prince of Alexandria meets Ibn Battuta, he orders that he be given money and appoints him as a construction consultant. As he's about to leave, the merchant who took Ibn Battuta's money gives it back to him. As Ibn Battuta boards the ship, the war between the Turks breaks out.

Ibn Battuta is forced to change his destination because of the war, so he travels to Gaza and sees the library that was founded by Al-Zahir Baibars. He finds that he has to travel across the Atlantic and Indian oceans until he reaches his destination. He's surprised when the plague devastates the town.

Ibn Battuta tries to help Hassan find Abu Ya'qoub so that he can prepare the elixir of life that cures the plague.

Ibn Battuta and Hassan manage to reach the village where Abu Ya'qoub is, but they learn that he is dead. They find a way to prepare the elixir, so they start searching for the merchant who will help them with the task.

Ibn Battuta manages to reach the merchant and search for the copper pots that will be converted into gold. He discovers that Hassan is a girl named Nawara who had to disguise herself as a young man in order to search for evidence of her father's innocence, and Ibn Battuta helps her.

Ibn Battuta learns the story of Nawara and her father, and agrees with them to help the people of Damascus get out of their homes after the plague goes away. He agrees with the governor of the city on that.

Abu Nawara (Nawara's father) proposes to raise silkworms and hold a festival so that confidence returns to the villagers, and sets a reward for the participants.

Abu Nawara gifts Ibn Battuta with the astrolabe, which was developed by Ibn Al-Shater to help him in his journey. As Ibn Battuta bids them farewell, he departs and arrives at Tabuk.

As Ibn Battuta succeeds in reaching Mecca, he meets a group of boys whose horse has escaped and decides to help them.

Ibn Battuta helps each of the three boys, and suggests that they ask their uncle to work in the stable that he owns until they find the horse. He agrees with their uncle to teach them.

When the three boys arrive at the stable and find the horse, they take it back to their uncle and thank Ibn Battuta for the help.

The boys' uncle tells Ibn Battuta about Marsa Bashk, but warns him about its owner because he is an evil man. He tells him that there is a possibility that he can find the pearl he is looking for there.

Ibn Battuta agrees with the pearl merchant to help him against the villains in exchange for weapons. Ibn Battuta refuses to help him with weapons and offers to get rid of the evil Sultan without resorting to murder.

The merchant agrees with Ibn Battuta on ​​not using weapons, and the merchant sets off to bring another carriage, other than the one that was destroyed, to carry the pearls in it. The King of Marsa Bashk is enraged when he is unable to find the merchant, and his guards decide to take revenge on him.

Sennar and his men seize the carriage of the pearl merchant, and capture Ibn Battuta. But when the merchant tells him his story with Sultan Bashk, Sennar decides to help him.

The pearl merchant arrives at the Sultan’s palace with Ibn Battuta. When they catch the guard who put poison to the Sultan, he informs them of what happened to him and his father and how the Sultan ordered his execution.

The guard tells the merchant that he was forced to do everything that the Sultan orders until his father gets out of prison. He agrees with him to claim that he caught him and put him in prison until the Sultan is disposed of without killing him with poison.

With the help of Ibn Battuta, the merchant and the guard succeeded in putting the evil Sultan in prison, and ridding the people of his oppression. Ibn Battuta bids them farewell and decides to return to Tangier.

As Ibn Battuta begins his journey back, he finds out that he is afflicted with an epidemic called Agadir. The sage of the town advises him to mix a type of flower with some other substances to get the medicine before his body loses all movement.

As Ibn Battuta looks for Doctor Yunus, who will help him in his recovery, a group of bandits attacks him, and he is sold in the slave market.

Ibn Battuta succeeds in escaping from the bandits and searches for Yunus. Ibn Battuta is forced to sell a pearl that was given to him by the merchant in order to heal himself.

Ibn Battuta decides to go to the Valley of the Hyenas to get the flower. A merchant advises him to have a strong scent with him in order to protect him from predators there. When he reaches the valley, Ibn Battuta's foot and hand become paralyzed, and his friend Suleiman tries to help him.
