Al-Hady is a nurse who loves Genina, Al-Shazly’s daughter. He gets involved with Al-Sharif, head of the opposition party, who wants to bring Al-Munsif to rule. Al-Shazly asks Al-Hady to spy on the party. Bashir is executed for killing the French officer and his son shoots the officer's son. Al-Shazly dies.
Bashir's son, Habib, hides from the French soldiers, who attack his mother during his father's funeral. Al-Hady is scared of Al-Shazly. In the nightclub, Al-Jailany and Al-Sharif are monitoring the situation.
Habib goes with one of the Fellagha (armed militants) hiding in the mountain and finds a man from his neighborhood there. The officer meets Al-Sharif in the nightclub and tells him that he knows that he provides weapons to the bandits on the mountain to kill the French. Al-Shazly dies.
Al-Saqy goes to the mountain and meets Habib, who asks him to bring him supplies from his mother. Al-Hady confesses to Al-Jailany that he accidentally killed Al-Shazly, and that Genina blames him for not visiting her. Al-Sharif tries not to let the officer know anything about the weapons shipment.
Al-Sadiq raids Al-Sharif’s house as he finds him with the party members, and he tells him that the meeting requires permission, but Al-Sharif tells him that they are gathered for his daughter's engagement. He asks Wasila to tell him the location of the weapons and she stabs him with the scissors.
Wasila confesses that she killed the officer, but Satofa also confesses that he's the killer and he gets executed. Al-Berny tells the French policeman that Habiba is providing food for the Fellagha. Habib and his friends receive the shipment of weapons coming from Algeria.
The Fellagha ambushes a group of French soldiers and detain one of them after they killed the rest. Manouby admires Habib's sister, Fatima.
Al-Habib catches the man that Paul sent to kill him. But he strikes an exchange-deal when he releases the man in exchange for the release of some of the Fellagha men. Officer Paul rapes Fatima.
Fatima breaks down and tells her mother what happened to her and she vows revenge on Paul. Al-Habib discovers who is the traitor who divulged his location to the French soldiers.
Habib avenges his sister's honor and robs Paul of his manhood instead of killing him. Habiba marries Al-Berny and kills him on the wedding night, and she escapes to Khamis's house. Munsif passes away.
Habiba goes with Khamis to meet Habib. Sharif's life gradually falls apart after the death of Si Al-Munsif, as he becomes addicted to alcohol and is murdered at his home.
Habiba hides in the house of Al-Jailany's family, and it's revealed that Sharif did not die; someone else was accidentally killed that night. The colonial army moves towards the mountain to face the Fellagha.
Habib and Al-Hady are injured in a battle between the Fellagha and the French army. Al-Hady admits to Genina that he killed Al-Shazly and she forgives him. Meanwhile, Habib goes home to see Fatima.
Habiba agrees to marry Al-Jailany after she is told that Habib died in the battle. Habib goes to the office of the French resident-general to kill him but only finds his deputy.
Habib goes to Habiba's house to leave with her, only to discover that she has married Al-Jailany. Sharif disagrees with Munsif about the identity of the governor of Tunisia following the country's independence.
