Set in the village of Msaghah, Sohag in 1942, Mousa tells his beloved Najat that he will propose to her. The mayor puts the name of Mousa’s brother, Royee, on the list of the English in order to send him to fight the Germans with them. As Mousa tries to go in his brother's stead, the mayor refuses.

As Hamid asks for Najat's hand, the mayor agrees; Mousa gets mad after learning that his sweetheart will marry his enemy Hamid. Mousa goes to the wedding and asks Hamid to fight him. As Mousa throws him to the ground, Hamid tries to hit him from behind, but Hanfyia takes the hit in Mousa's stead.

As Mousa sees his mother lying on the ground, he goes insane and burns Hamid, then runs away from his brother Shaddad and goes to the mountain. Mousa meets Master Gaber, who takes him in. As Shendi agrees with Shaddad to hand Mousa over, Mousa foils his plan and kills Shendi.

As Mousa avenges the death of Royee, he and the mountain men attack the train, kill everyone on it, capture the English Pasha, and send him on the back of a donkey to the town. Mossad divorces Shafika after accusing her of adultery. As the English attack the mountain, Mousa and his men flee.

The head of the gypsies, Kahla, exonerates Shafika of adultery in front of everyone. Mousa and his men break into the house of the English Pasha, rob his safe, and then burn it. Nofal convinces Shafika to flee with him to Egypt after claiming that Mousa wants to kill her.

Mousa and his men blow up the English camp. As John and Shaddad implement Sabah’s plan by luring in Mousa using his beloved Najat, Mousa flees and the English believe that he was burned to death during the battle. Mousa goes to his mother and his beloved Najat to reassure them.

As floods sweep across the town, Mousa saves his mother, but he's unable to save his beloved Najat. As Mousa grieves the death of Najat, he travels to Cairo with his mother.

Mousa tells his mother that he is going to find work. Nofal asks Shafika to marry him but she refuses. Mousa quarrels with Fakhr, who orders his servant Ghali to make Mousa carry all the bricks alone to teach him a lesson.

Fakhr devises a plot against Mousa by accusing him of theft. As Mousa wakes up, he finds that Ghali has buried him in the sand. After Fakhr refuses to let Mousa out to save his mother, the latter dies.

As Nofal tries to assault Shafika, she stabs him with a knife. Mousa takes revenge on Ghali by putting him in a large container of wet cement that has not yet dried.

Mousa works for Master Hulawiat. As Nofal comes with the marriage officiant to force Shafika into marrying him, she refuses and expels them.

As the men of Master Gharibah attack master Wahba, Mousa bravely stands up to them. Nofal asks Hammam to inform Mousa about the whereabouts of his sister Shafika in order to kill her.

Shafika travels with Fania to Alexandria. As Hammam tells Mousa that he knows the location of Shafika, he goes to search for her but does not find her. When Kahla tells Mousa that Shafika is innocent, he does not believe her.

When Wahba asks Mousa to travel to Gaza to buy him imported goods, Halawithum asks Mousa not to travel there, and tells him that her brother works in smuggling; Mousa agrees to go.

Mousa travels to Gaza to buy goods for Master Wahba. As Sabah asks Shaddad to take revenge on Mousa, Shaddad asks Hammam to tell Mousa that his grandfather is sick to make him come to visit him so that he could take revenge on him.

Shehab Pasha asks to marry Shafika and gives her time to think. Nofal tells Shafika that her mother has passed away. Mousa continues his trips one after the other to Gaza.

Halawithum tells Mousa that she is in love with him and asks him to marry her and he agrees. As Sabah hires Maghawry to kill Mousa, Salehin tells Gaber that Sabah hired one of his men to kill Mousa. Shehab quarrels with Nofal after he sees him with Shafika.

Qorma shoots Mousa on the train at the instigation of Wahba. Shehab marries Shafika. Halawithum suspects that her brother hatched a plot against Mousa and threatens him. The doctor saves Mousa's life.

Gaber finds Hammam and asks him where Mousa is. As Master Gharibah tells Halawithum about Mousa's location, she travels to Gaza and finds Mousa in the hospital.

Bakhita confesses her love for Sheikh Salehin. As Mousa gives a wedding dress to Halawithum, he tells her that he will marry her upon his return to Egypt. As they both return to Egypt, Master Wahba finds out and hatches another plot for Mousa.

Gaber tells Mousa that Maghawry wants to kill him and that he came to Egypt to take revenge on him. Shafika reports Shehab after he kept his mother's body in a glass coffin and embalmed it. Mousa marries Halawithum.

As Nofal steals Mousa's money, Gaber saves Mousa's life and kills Maghawry. Master Gharibah tells Mousa that Qorma, Master Wahba's henchman, was the one who shot him on the train. Bakhita tells Sheikh Salehin that she is pregnant.

Mousa informs Wahba that he's quitting his job, while the latter kills Qorma. As Mousa knows that Nofal has stolen his money, he looks for him. Halawithum gives money to Zitouna in order to give them to Mousa and asks him not to tell him that it's from her.

As Mousa buys Marconi Radio, the representative teaches him everything about it and he gets an exclusive dealership to sell the radio in Egypt. Shweikar asks Nofal to kill her brother Shehab. Halawithum asks Wahba to stay him away from Mousa. .

Shaddad warns Sheikh Salehin against leaving the house with his wife Bakhita. As Mousa asks his friend Donio to help him sell the radios, he goes to the English ambassador to give him a radio and he sees his archenemy, John.

As Mousa sees the English Pasha, he catches him before he calls the police and kills him. Shehab tells Mousa that he married his sister Shafika and that she is innocent. Nofal kills Shehab Pasha.

After the police accuse Shafika of killing Shehab Pasha, the judge sentences her to death. Sabah dies from cholera. Halawithum tells Mousa that she is pregnant. Mousa gets a dealership to sell the Marconi radio.

Wahba threatens Halawithum that he will kill her fetus if she and Mousa do not leave. Shaddad kills Sheikh Salehin. As Mousa takes revenge on Wahba and teaches him and his men a lesson, he takes from him the shop keys. Mousa saves the passengers of the Egypt - Gaza train from an armed group.

After Nofal kills his mother Kahla, Mousa kills him in custody. Mousa has four children at once. As Wahba sets the area on fire, Halawithum saves her children, and then she falls from the balcony to the street.

Master Wahba is killed. After Mousa finds Shafika, he forgives her and tells her that he knows that she's innocent. When Shaddad finds out that Mousa, Shafika and his children are back in town, he prepares the men for revenge. Mousa sacrifices himself for his family and is killed by Shaddad.
