Nesma leaves her child with Nada, and runs away for fear of being killed by her parents. Nada tries to take care of the child, while lying to Nesma's father, Hamdi, and telling him that she handed the child over to the police.

Nada delivers the child to an orphanage; meanwhile disputes escalate between Nada and Hisham, and she plans to adopt the baby girl, Ahlam.

Nada begins the steps of adopting Ahlam. Salah clashes with his wife after she fires several of their project's engineers, whereas Sally fails to dissuade Nada from adopting.

Khaled resigns and returns to Egypt to stay temporarily with Nada, who plans to adopt Yunis instead of Ahlam, but Khaled objects to the matter.

The social worker rejects Nada's request to adopt Yunis after Khaled objects to the adoption. Nada tells the child about the problem and promises him to resolve it. Sally and Raji go to a psychiatrist after the death of their infant.

As Yunis moves to Nada's house, the latter is faced with the objection of her brother Khaled, who warns his kids against associating with Yunis. Raji tries to persuade Sally to continue the psychological treatment.

Yunis suffers after enrolling in his new school. Salah gets close to Nada. Khaled tries to get a job in Egypt.

Yunis attacks his classmate after the latter bullied him. Hisham gets angry at Nada after discovering that she has adopted Yunis.

Yunis fails to adjust to his new friends. Rania becomes jealous after discovering Salah and Nada's relationship.

Rania refuses to take a step in her relationship with Mustafa for fear of regret, while the relationship between Nada and Salah solidifies. Sally asks Raji for a divorce.

Khaled discovers that his son is stealing from students at school. Basant decides to leave the house. Sally refuses to let Nada reconcile her with Raji.

Salah shocks Nada by his wish to return to Rania, whereupon Nada rejects Salah's attempts to contact her again. Sally discovers that she is once again pregnant. The farmers are taken aback by Khaled's wish to expel them from his land.

Nesma asks Nada to help her get her child Ahlam back. As Salah tells Rania that he rejects the idea of their getting back together, she threatens him with taking back custody of their child if he marries Nada.

Rania gets custody of Salma, after which she changes her mind and returns her to her father. As the farmers attack Khaled's land, he gets shot in the shoulder. Yunis disappears.

Nada and Salah search for Yunis everywhere, to no avail. As Yunis goes back to the orphanage and refuses to return with Nada, Salah succeeds in persuading him to return to his home, while he and Nada agree to get married.
