The tension between Faten and Seif rises when she enters their apartment to find he has taken all the furniture to pressure her into getting back with him, and when she refuses and hires a lawyer, he falsely reports to the police that she stole from him.

Faten is surprised to see a stranger in her apartment telling her he owns the apartment and that the lease has expired, so she ends up sleeping in her husband's car with her girls. She is later surprised to know that Seif has sued for visitation rights for their daughters.

Seif tries to get Faten to get back together with him, and when she refuses, he says he'll sue her for custody since she has no safe residence for the girls to stay in, so she resorts to staying at a women's reception center under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

Seif fights with his daughters' teacher when he finds out he wants to marry Faten. Meanwhile, people try to mediate between Faten and Seif's mother to no avail. Faten attends her first court hearing and, after arguing with the judge, ends up in prison for 24 hours.

The judge pardons Faten after Shekib intervenes, but she is still adamant about filing a lawsuit against the Personal Status Law that is unjust towards women at the Supreme Constitutional Court. Meanwhile, a stranger visits Maysoon and asks her about her husband who has been missing for a year.

After pulling the girls out of their school, Seif and Faten face off, and he makes her sign a waiver for the girls' educational fees till college. Afterwards, an attempt to settle things out of court between Seif and Faten eventually fails.

Faten is shocked to find a bag containing money at her doorstep, as well as an old phone with a voice message that tells her they belong to Faten. Meanwhile, she still struggles with religious scholars regarding custody being taken from a mother if she re-marries.

Meanwhile, Maysoon finds out through a letter she found in their old storage room that her husband is dead.

Faten prepares for the hearing of the suit she filed to refer the Personal Status Law to the Supreme Constitutional Court to be repealed. Sheikh Yahia proposes to give her lessons in Islamic jurisprudence so she can help other women. The day of the hearing comes, and the case is dismissed.

A reporter and 2 photographers try to interview Faten at her workplace which causes trouble with her manager. Meanwhile, Seif and his mother see the girls, and Nadine tells her father about Faten's money. Later, Faten is shocked to find the money has been stolen.

Seif confesses to his cousin that he took the money, and Faten later finds out, but before she reports to the police, she gets a phone call from the woman telling her she knows what happened and threatening her to do what they asked. Seif's cousin sends armed men to take away the money from Seif.

The anonymous entity sends another bag of money to Faten to pressure her to forge the proxies. Meanwhile, several women head to Faten's work at the real estate registry to delegate her to talk on their behalf in the Personal Status Law case.

Faten celebrates her daughters' good grades but is later shocked to find Nadine convulsing. Faten faints in the hospital when she finds out her daughter has a brain tumor. Meanwhile, it turns out that it's Seif's cousin who sent Faten the bribe.

Nadine turns out to have syringomyelia, and not a malignant tumor, and will be on medication for 2 years then live her life normally. Meanwhile, Shafie and Faten confront Seif's cousin with the video of him leaving the money at Faten's, and they discover he was hired by a man called Saber El Tahan.

Nadine is released from the hospital, and Faten goes with Shafie to Saber El Tahan to return the money, and he apologizes to her. Meanwhile, Sheikh Yahia is fired from the Shariah Law Association, and some Islamic scholars say they will sue Faten for defamation of religion.

Finale

The court rules in favor of referring the Personal Status Law to the Supreme Constitutional Court. Faten reunites with her father Amal Harby. Seif's uncles pay off the loan and take over the factory, offering him a job where spousal and child support will be deducted from his monthly salary.
