The maid Duk Im meets the Crown Prince at the funeral of the late Royal Noble Consort Yeong, then learns of the banned book that she was warned that she would be killed if she read, and her anxiety increases when she learns that the book is in the Crown Prince's library.
San struggles to catch a rampaging tiger inside the palace, then unwittingly gets help from Duk Im, as he pretends not to be the Crown Prince in front of her. To prevent further casualties, this fierce tiger has to be stopped.
Duk Im seeks to help the maids escape from the tiger and is rescued by San, who almost receives punishment for mobilizing the army in the palace without the King's permission, while those who want to depose the Crown Prince try to exploit what happened to their benefit.
Duk Im is stunned when she discovers San's true identity. She is angry because she thinks he tricked her, but she is chosen to be his maid, while Princess Hwawan finds a way to set her up and punish her.
