El Shimy also worked in television series, which were mostly historical or religious, including “Muhamma Rasul Allah” (Muhammad, Prophet of God), “Adham El Sharqawy”, “Almalek Faruq” (King Farouk), “Alqadaa fil Islam” (Judiciary in Islam). He died in 2014 from blood poisoning.
