He has been working at Kawkab al-Sharq newspaper as a sports editor since 1929. In 1942, he was elected as a member of the House of Representatives. When Makram Ebeid resigned from the Wafd Ministry in July 1942. He was a writer of free opinion, so he was imprisoned and remained there until July 1944. In prison, he established close relations and friendship with Sadat and Ali Maher Pasha. During his 75-year career he presented many political and journalistic books. From his works: We're the Bus People. He passed away on January 20, 1988.
