An American actor, born in Brooklyn, New York, on December 20, 1905. Albert Dekker began his artistic career through theatrical work in 1927, and within a few years he became a prominent star on Broadway. In 1950, he started his television work, and also continued to work in cinema and theater. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 for his television work. Among his most notable films: East of Eden (1955), Kiss Me Deadly (1955), and The Wild Bunch (1969). He died in Hollywood, California, on May 5, 1968, and was found hanged in the bathroom of his house.
