A British-American Actress who was born in Liverpool, England, United Kingdom on July 19, 1919 and died in Elysian Park in Los Angeles, California, USA on April 28, 2012. She married a couple and did not have children. Her most important works are The Three Musketeers (1948), The...Read more Killing of Sister George (1968), and Fortunes of Captain Blood (1950). She was one of three daughters of an English mother, a Spanish father. She began her artistic activity in adolescence in the thirties and took starring roles in the mid forties. She left for Hollywood, where she obtained American citizenship and was prolific in production in the early fifties, yet by the end of the decade, her cinematic activities faded to begin her prolific television career in the sixties. She returned to cinema again in1968 with the movie The Killing of Sister George and continued her television work with some movie appearances in the seventies. Her last appearance was in 1978. She died at the age of 92.
