An American actor, born in New York, USA, on December 3, 1922, as Leonard King Lesser. He married Janice Burrell (1954-1982) and they had two children before their divorce. Len was primarily a stage actor until 1955, then regularly participated in television series and movies in supporting or guest roles. He gained fame after his role as Uncle Leo in Seinfeld (1991-1998). Lesser suffered from cancer in his later years, until he died on February 16, 2011, in Burbank, California, United States, at the age of 88.
