He made some TV series, made supporting roles in big films, and played villainous roles in low-production films. He served in the United States Navy during World War I. His first work was the silent film Running Wild (1927), and his last work was The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp (1959). He died in 1959 at the age of 58.
