An American actor, born in Hendrysburg, Ohio, USA, on June 5, 1895, as William Lawrence Boyd. He married five times and had one child. He won a number of awards as well as a Star on the Walk of Fame in 1960. He is known for Flaming Gold (1932), Call of the Prairie (1936) and...Read more False Colors (1943). His father worked as a day laborer, and after his parents died young, he moved to California and took on many jobs until he found an extra job in the movie Why Change Your Wife? (1920). He joined the army during WWI but was excused for a weak heart. He died in Laguna Beach, California, USA, on September 12, 1972, due to Parkinson's disease and heart failure.
