A British film, stage and television actress, born in London, England as Helen Margaret Goss. She was also a drama teacher and was responsible for admissions to the Rank Charm School. She is better known for The Wicked Lady (1945), The Hound of the Baskervilles (1959), and BBC Sunday-Night Play (1962). She made her film debut in Bachelor's Baby (1932) and ended her film career with Jane Eyre (1970). She died in 1985, at the age of 82. |
