When her film roles diminished, she retired and helped her husband in an upholstery shop in Los Angeles. Among her notable works are Dramatic School (1938), I've Been Around (1935), and The Primrose Path (1931). She married twice, and she passed away at the age of 83 from cancer on January 4, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, USA.
