Following Cece's wedding, Nick and Jess flee to Mexico to have some time by themselves. Winston realizes that he is color blind. Schmidt needs to make a decision regarding Cece and Elizabeth.

Jess asks for Nick's advice on how to fit in with a group of teachers at her new school. Schmidt faces an awkward situation with both Cece and Elizabeth. Winston decides to get back at Daisy for cheating on him.

Jess and Nick invite Schmidt and Cece to go on a double date with them. Winston volunteers to make the restaurant's reservation. Nick is struggling not to tell the gang about Schmidt's relationship with Cece and Elizabeth.

Schmidt tries to wreck Jess and Nick's relationship after Cece and Elizabeth dump him. Winston tries to find a female cat for his cat.

Instead of paying his late bills, Nick starts throwing the money he inherited from his late father away. Schmidt asks Rabbi Feiglin for advice, and he saves the life of a bike messenger.

In an attempt to cheer Schmidt up, Jess, Nick, and Winston pretend to be his favorite actor Michael Keaton, by sending him fake e-mails. Cece doesn't want to go to Jess's Halloween party if Schmidt is attending it.

When Coach comes for a visit and takes the guys on a boys night out, Jess decides to take Cece to a girls night out at a bar.

After being fed up with a Chinese restaurant owner who floods her apartment with his menus, Jess decides to do something about it. Coach wants to help Nick get in shape.

Jess tries to keep Schmidt busy while Coach and Cece go on a date. A woman named Bertie helps Winston and Nick find their missing cat.

To prove to Coach that dating Jess didn't make him go soft, Nick takes the guys on a camping trip, while Winston and Cece share their common dislike of the wilderness.

The guys try to help Jess decide whether or not she should take a new job offer to work at a museum.

Jess tries to bond with Coach by pretending to be a Pistons fan, which bothers Nick who is a Chicago Bulls fanatic. Schmidt is tasked with mentoring an elderly intern, while Winston makes a new discovery.

As Jess's birthday approaches, Nick is planning the perfect party for her. Coach and Winston butt heads over who's baking the best cake. Schmidt is supporting Cece in her new job.

As Jess and Cece go to a party held at Prince's mansion, Nick and the guys try to sneak in. Nick confesses his love for Jess, which leaves her in panic.

Jess tries to persuade Nick that it's okay to still be friends with exes, by introducing him to her ex-boyfriend. Coach and Winston use Schmidt's new apartment to invite girls over.

When Jess bails her reckless sister Abby out of jail, she tries to make Nick avoid meeting her. Nick goes to a Bar Mitzvah with Schmidt.

Jess tries to find a place for Abby to stay in, after Abby decides she wants to move in the loft, while Nick is left to keep an eye on her. After taking the LAPD entrance exam, Winston is anxious to look at the results.

After Schmidt and Abby start dating, Jess becomes jealous and decides to move into Nick's room. Winston tries to get in shape to pass the LAPD obstacle course.

Jess finds herself in a tight spot when she's forced to fire Coach just after she got him a job as the new volleyball coach at her school. Schmidt asks Nick and Winston to represent him after getting sued. A younger guy makes a pass at Cece.

Jess and Nick must confront each other about the future of their relationship. When two hot neighbors move into the building, Coach, Schmidt, and Winston compete with each other in an attempt to impress them. Cece freaks out after she drunk- texts Buster.

After Jess and Nick break up, they keep it a secret from the guys. Winston wants the guys to throw him a party, to celebrate him passing his police academy entrance exam.

After she becomes in charge of the school dance, Jess asks the guys to chaperone the dance to make sure that everything goes well.

As the gang goes together on a cruise, things get complicated for Jess and Nick, while Schmidt tries to make amends with Cece.
