Jabbar is sad because his son wants to leave school and work, while Akram is a crippled young man who wishes to live a normal life. Fouad quarrels with his son Imran so that he would leave college and work with him in the market.
Walam complains about her relationship with Imran because he still has a long way to go and will not be able to marry her soon, while Lieutenant Adel protects Major Jalal. Muhannad works with his father in the market.
Rajaa's brother Essam returns from travel in a desperate state. Akram takes a liking to Amal. Mohamed, Jabbar's son, goes to work, much to his father's discontent.
Akram remembers his beloved Amal when he could walk on his feet and how she promised not to leave him. Muhannad is able to control the work in his father's office, while Imran refuses to work with him.
Souad's college professor proposes to her, and her father discovers that his father was his former co-worker and they did not get along, so he rejects the marriage. Muhannad agrees with Rajaa to work together secretly, behind Fouad's back.
Both Abbas and Fouad go to prison to serve five years because of Fouad’s embezzlement and Abbas’ involvement with him twenty-five years ago. Fadel tells Souad the whole story, which is why her father rejected their marriage. Amal insists on marrying Akram despite her mother’s refusal.
Muhannad proposes to Rajaa and she agrees despite her hesitation. Amal returns to her aunt’s house to meet again with Akram, while Sattar is accepted into the police academy, much to his mother's joy.
Muhannad accuses Jabbar of theft. He also asks Rajaa's mother for Rajaa's hand in marriage. Akram decides to go to Basra to propose to Amal, while Fouad finally agrees to Souad's marriage to Fadel.
Jabbar dies in a car accident due to his frustration over Muhannad accusing him of theft, so Mohamed decides to work in his father's place. Muhannad marries Rajaa without his parents' knowledge, and Souad marries Fadel.
Jabbar's wife refuses to let her son work for Fouad, while Amal becomes pregnant, amid her family's joy. Problems abound between Sabah and her husband because of her father's extreme control over their lives.
Fouad learns of Imran's marriage, so he asks him to sign a general power of attorney, especially since he is bedridden in the hospital. Mohamed works for Fouad, much to Muhannad's surprise, while Rajaa tries to seize the latter's money.
Mohamed agrees with one of the workers, Fouad's assistant, to trap Muhannad in order to avenge his father. Imran recovers from the accident, while Muhannad steals all the documents from Rajaa's safe.
Rajaa is suspicious of Muhannad, but she does not tell him about it. Mohamed is planning to trap Fouad and his son, while the police are monitoring Fouad.
Fadel is hospitalized out of grief over Souad being kept away from him, especially since she is pregnant. Rajaa asks Muhannad to announce their marriage, much to his surprise. Akram goes to his uncle Fouad and demands his share in his father’s orchard.
Fadel recovers and leaves the hospital, while his wife suffers and isolates herself from society, becoming psychologically disturbed. The police monitor the shipments that Fouad imports, while the latter discovers that Muhannad has stolen from him.
Fouad asks Muhannad to get rid of Rajaa by putting her in prison and divorcing her, but he refuses. Fouad is arrested after Mohamed gives the documents incriminating him to the police.
