| Tarek Sharkawy | After the insurrection erupted in Libya in the spring of 2012, more than a million people flocked to neighboring Tunisia in search of a safe haven from the escalating violence. During these times, he would go back to his home, located in the middle of Damascus city, take off his military uniform and work as an assistant director with his friend, the filmmaker Mohammed Malas.
