The show revolves around the daily life of a couple: all their problems, disagreements and developments in the life that they share together, which will be relatable for many real-life couples.
In the wake of his grandmother's death and his father's abandonment, young Khalifa finds himself the sole caretaker of his developmentally disabled mother. Shouldering too much responsibility before he is even ten, Khalifa is deprived of both his childhood and his chance to have a normal life.

The events revolve around Widad, the Syrian Jewish woman who witnesses the early efforts of Zionist organizations to establish the State of Israel, and her absolute rejection of the practices of those organizations and those who represent them, mainly her husband Fuad.
